Nationwide North leaders Stafford came from behind to earn a point at second-placed Numeaton. The home side, who gave a debut to former Rangers keeper Richard Brush took the lead after just 4 minutes. Love’s inswinging corner fell to Taylor inside the six-yard box who slotted home. Brush emerged a hero with two important saves from Grayson. He first turned round a header on 34 minutes and two minutes later saved a penalty, awarded for a foul on Gibson. In between these Grayson hit the bar. The equaliser came on 71 minutes. Thomson’s initial shot was blocked inside a crowded area and Groves drove the rebound into the bottom left corner.
